Eleven year old Amy Harris from Baffins in Portsmouth decided to shave off her hair in memory of her grandpa, Tony Clarke, who died in December 2011 of acute myloid leukaemia. Amy is trying to raise as much money as she can for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research  and to help other people and to find a cure.

Amy also decided to donate her beautiful hair to The Little Princess Trust. They provide real hair wigs to boys and girls across UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment. Amy will be keeping a diary of her experiences with looking different and how to deal with it.

Commenting after we took her hair off Amy said “After the death of my Grandpa I really want to help as many people with the disease as I can, so other families dont have to go through what we have. I was pretty scared before meeting David at the salon, but they were all lovely and I actually quite like my new style”

Amy has raised well over £2000 so far.
